Iran vs. Israel - No Fear

If everybody knows that Iran poses an imminent existential threat to the world, why is no one stopping them?

What would a nuclear armed Iran mean for America, Israel, and the world?

Should Israel wait for the possibility that the international community will come to our defense or should we take our fate into our own hands and take action now?

EVER PRAY FOR ISRAEL!
SHALOM!

URGENT NEWS! (12)

THIS IS THE YEAR TO STAND WITH ISRAEL
So why is 2013 a year to stand with Israel?
In 2011 we launched our “LORD, help Israel!” prayer network, people in over 60 countries standing with us, crying out, “LORD, help Israel!” daily at noon in their time zone. We know that prayers move mountains.
We believe that launching our prayer initiative was very timely, since the past two years have been extremely tense here in the Land. Social justice movements, rising cost of living, threats from our neighbors, the “Arab Spring” are just a few challenges our tiny nation continues to face.
Today more than ever before in history we see the dark clouds gathering around us.
Within Israel it’s the increasing sin – prostitution, homosexuality, corruption; economic troubles – poverty, a housing crisis; terror – rocket attacks, terrorist infiltrations to Israel’s territory… not to mention persecution of believers at the hands of the radical ultra-Orthodox.
From without – tension with our greatest ally – the U.S., unprecedented demands from the UN regarding not only our international, but also internal affairs, threats from the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, attacks from Hamas in Gaza, open annihilation promises from Hizbullah in Lebanon, civil war in neighboring Syria, rising tensions in Jordan and Ahmadinejad building a nuclear arsenal in Iran.
As believers we know that one day ALL NATIONS will come to make war against Jerusalem. We also know that ALL NATIONS will be judged corporately by God based on how they treated Israel.
It is we, the believers, therefore, who hold the keys to our nations’ destinies! Our prayers – for our nations and our leaders, our open stand with and for Israel will most certainly be an important factor in the severity of the judgment that is inevitably coming.
Yeshua said we are the light of the world – a city on a hill which cannot be hidden. We believe this is our time, as believers in the Most High God, to let our light shine – boldly proclaiming the Good News of salvation together with our love for Israel and the Jewish people – whom God loves and whom He promised to protect and keep as a nation before Him forever.
2013 is the year to battle for the future of Israel and the future of every nation on earth!

   So, what should you do?

First, spread the importance of loving, praying for and supporting Israel wherever you go.You can use these Biblical Reasons to Stand With Israel when you speak to your pastor, church members, co-workers, family and friends. Print these out and ask for permission to put it on your Church bulletin boards. In a sentence - become an advocate for Israel!
Then, commit to pray daily for Israel as well as your nation, leaders, and their treatment of Israel and the Jewish people.
To set the record straight, our hearts ache for the Palestinian (Arab) people just as much as we do for the people of Israel. They need salvation, freedom, and the light of Yeshua in their lives! But we know that the Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, even though He loves Jew and Arab alike (for He is no respecter of persons), gave this piece of land we call Israel (including Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza) to the descendants of Isaac forever as a covenant.
Above all you can support the Messianic Jewish believers in Yeshua here in the Land of Israel with your gifts to istandwithisrael.com.
We need your help! We need your commitment!
We need you to take a stand!
Make 2013 the year YOU stand with Israel!www.istandwithisrael.com

FEBRUARY MAOZ ISRAEL REPORT SNEAK PEEK
0213 - PDF Cover   We started this year outlining documents and writings confirming the legitimacy of Israel's existence in the Holy  Land in theJanuary Maoz Israel Report.
Our February Maoz Israel Report focuses on a terrorist organization that was formed especially to combat our existence... In her article, Hamas' Covenant With Death, Shira briefly shares the history of the artificial creation of the "Palestinian People" and the rising of Hamas to leadership in Gaza.
The next article shares word-for-word articles from the official Covenant of Hamas.  One only needs to read with eyes open to realize who we are dealing with and why any negotiations with these terrorists will result in a complete failure.
We then share a letter from Israeli Arab Pastor, Joseph Haddad, who is a born-again believer who loves Israel and teaches other Arab believers to do the same. And our last article is a fascinating story about a Muslim UK Parliament Member, who surprisingly supports Israel.

DONATIONS FOR THIS YEAR!

Help Elderly Jews Survive this Record-Breaking Winter

Joseph,
Israel is facing some of its worst winter storms in years.
Russia’s record breaking, bone-chilling cold has hospitalized or killed more than 1,000 in recent weeks.
Because of these exceptionally harsh conditions, the struggle to stay warm this winter is a losing battle for too many elderly Israelis and Jews throughout the former Soviet Union (FSU).
With so many facing such desperate conditions, The Fellowship is expanding our compassionate Operation Warmth. This emergency campaign will distribute even more blankets and support for heating bills to impoverished senior citizens in Israel and the FSU.
Please take a moment to watch this video about our Operation Warmth campaign, and then help The Fellowship make a lifesaving difference for these vulnerable elderly by reaching out with a generous gift today.
With prayers for shalom, peace,
Rabbi Sig

Joseph,
As we enter a new year, I cannot begin to express what a wonderful blessing it is to know that together we will be able to ease the suffering of many destitute Jewish people in the Holy Land and around the world in 2013.
The reality is that millions of Jews will turn to The Fellowship in their time of need. And, in this year with your help we will:
Provide food, clothing, winter heat, shelter, and medicines for Israelis — including children and the elderly — who suffer from poverty, terrorism, and war;
Distribute vital heating fuel, food, and other basic necessities to thousands of impoverished Jews living in the former Soviet Union; and,
Bring thousands of persecuted Jewish people safely home to the Holy Land — fulfilling the biblical prophecies that promise to gather the Jewish exiles “from the four corners of the earth” (Isaiah 11:12).
These blessings are only possible because compassionate friends like you give generously to The Fellowship.
People like Jonathan from California, who told us that he was moved to support The Fellowship because, “It is God's word that tells us to share our blessings with others … I am blessed and want to help God's chosen people, especially those who are in need.”
Or Norman from Texas, who wrote, “I want to do what I am able to do to help in any way … God bless the Jewish people and God bless The Fellowship.”
Fellowship friends have many different reasons why they give. But all have one thing in common: Their donations have a lifesaving impact on Jews suffering from heartbreaking poverty, and anti-Semitism. Please join us and make a difference today!
With prayers for shalom, peace,
Rabbi Sig
Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein
Founder and President
PS
Each year, The Fellowship provides humanitarian aid like food, medical supplies, blankets, and heating fuel to disadvantaged individuals and families, including elderly Holocaust survivors, children, and victims of terror. Please help us continue this important work in 2013 by giving today!

Joseph,
This year, millions of Jews in the former Soviet Union and in Israel will turn to The Fellowship for lifesaving assistance — orphaned and at-risk children, impoverished and hungry families, Holocaust survivors, the home-bound elderly, and so many more. They look to us for help with food, clothing, housing, heating fuel – and with Israel in the grip of a winter storm, the needs become more urgent.
Thanks to the generous support of Fellowship friends like you, we are able to help these vulnerable souls. We asked donors why they give to The Fellowship, and were inspired by their thoughtful, faith-filled responses. Please take a moment to watch this video of their feedback, and join them in making a lifesaving difference with a generous gift today. Then share your story of why you give!

MORE PRAYERS FOR THIS YEAR

In light of rising anti-Semitism around the world, let us pray that those who hate will learn to love. Let us also pray that we, Christians and Jewish working together, will set an example of compassion and caring for all to follow by supporting the needy in Israel and in Jewish communities around the world.
  • Pray for the safety and protection of Jewish communities in Europe and across the world that are suffering from the resurgence of harsh anti-Semitism. Pray for an end to anti-Semitic violence, intimidation, vandalism, and hate-motivated crimes. “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways…” (Psalm 91:11).
  • Pray that Israel's neighbors will stop their blind hatred and accept Israel's existence as a Jewish and democratic state. “In your unfailing love, silence my enemies…” (Psalm 143:12).
  • Please pray that Yael Eckstein will have a safe and fruitful trip as she travels to the former Soviet Union to visit Fellowship projects there. “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore”(Psalm 121:8).
  • Pray that, with God's help, The Fellowship will be able to provide for emergency needs during this cold winter.“Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness!” (Isaiah 58:10).
  • Praise God for The Fellowship's donors who find it in their hearts to give generously to help provide urgently needed aid to the people of Israel, as well as to Jews living in the former Soviet Union and other parts of the world. “A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).
  • Pray for the establishment of a true and lasting peace in Israel. “May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, ‘Peace be within you’” (Psalm 122:7-8).

The Choosing of A Chosen People
Part 1 of 5
The Selection of Abraham

Terah Takes Leave

...And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there...
Genesis 11:31

Journey of Abram

...So Abram went, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him; and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran...
Genesis 12:4
To reconcile both accounts of Abraham's journey towards Canaan and properly understand the special significance of Genesis 12, we must have a better appreciation for who Abraham was and the environment he came from.

1 And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves before God. 2 And Joshua said unto all the people: 'Thus said the LORD, the God of Israel: Your fathers dwelt of old time beyond the River, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nahor; and they served other gods. 3 And I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.
                                                                                                                        Joshua 24
Based on this passage in Joshua, the 'Midrash' recounts a story of Abraham as a young boy growing up in the house of Terah:
Abraham was a small child in Ur of the Chaldeans surrounded by pagan worship. His own father, Terah, owned a shop selling idols to the residents of Ur. But even as a young boy, Abraham already questioned the wisdom and validity of pagan worship. One day, Terah leaves Abraham in charge of the idol store. Abraham lifts a large stick and begins smashing all of the idols and then places his stick in the hands of the largest idol. When Terah returns and sees all of his merchandise in ruins, he furiously turns to his son and cries out, "Abraham, what did you do?!" Pointing to the largest idol, Abraham responds, "I didn't do anything, this idol smashed all of the others." Terah's anger flared even more, "Are you mad? You know that idol has no power to harm any of the other statues!" At which point, Abraham turns innocently to his father and asks, "Then why do you pray to him?"
