Happy Thanksgiving!

From Jerusalem Prayer Team:
Dear Friend,

From the Holy City of the Great King, I give thanks to God and pray a blessing on America and on you. I am so thankful that America has been a refuge for my people. Without America, my entire family would have perished in the pogroms of Russia and the Holocaust of Europe. America helped birth Israel and has been Israel's best friend since that miraculous rebirth in 1948.

But the links between America and the Jewish people go much further back into history. Columbus began his voyage to the New World on August 3, 1492, just three days after the last Jews were forced to leave Spain. As Columbus witnessed ships filled with Jewish people leaving the port of Palos (which delayed his own departure), he noted in his log book that the expulsion deadline was Tisha B'Av—the date Jews mourn the destruction of both the First and Second Temples. Columbus referred to the Second Temple as the “Second House” (Bayit Sheini in Hebrew), a term used only in Jewish sources, leading some historians to conclude that Columbus himself was of Jewish origin. His voyage of discovery laid the foundation for what would become the great friend of Israel, the United States of America.

The Jewish prayer of thanks begins “Baruch Atah Adonai”—“Blessed are you God” and then goes on to list the things for which you are thankful. I want you to know that I have been praying for you repeatedly here in Jerusalem, and that I give thanks to God for you and your love for His Chosen People.

I am here in Israel as your ambassador to God’s Chosen People in this hour of great need. America’s ability to know and understand what is happening in the Middle East suffered a major blow with the discovery and capture of the CIA’s networks in Lebanon and Iran. More than a dozen informants were caught and are believed to have been executed. One insider described this intelligence disaster as the result of sloppy work by the American spy agency. “We were lazy,” he admitted.

This is a deadly serious business. The enemies of Israel will stop at nothing to bring about their evil plans. The loss of intelligence and information could be crucial in the coming days. The clock is ticking loudly for those who have ears to hear. Iran is poised on the brink of completing their nuclear weapons program…and there is no doubt how they would use such weapons if they get them.

It is time for God’s people who know the truth and love His Chosen People to take a stand. The Jerusalem Prayer Team is standing on the front lines—but we urgently need your help. There are critical needs that must be met, but we can only meet them with your generous support.

I have been in virtually every major battle fought by Israel over the past several decades. I was with the troops during the Hamas and Hezbollah war comforting my people even as missiles flew over our heads to rain down death and destruction on Jewish men, women, and children.

Israeli diplomat friends called me and begged me to leave the war zone—to get out of the line of fire. They warned me, “You could die.” I responded that I planned to die; death would be no shock to me. Until that day comes, I will do everything within my power to obey my Savior and defend my people.

I have seen firsthand that in the south of Israel great numbers of Russian Jewish refugee children do not have bomb shelters in which to seek safety. I can tell you that there will be an enormous need for food, medicine, and blankets.

In Arab countries, Jews will be hanged, shot, and blown up when the war comes. This is especially true in Iran. We must do everything in our power to “blow the trumpet in Zion.”

This is the Word of the Lord for you and me today. Can you imagine what you would do if you knew your children and grandchildren were in harm’s way and a missile would hit their home? I know you would do everything humanly possible to protect your loved ones.

God wants us to do everything humanly possible to protect His loved ones—your brothers and sisters in Israel. Will you stand with me today in support of the Jewish people?

When you send your gift today, you will help us

Rescue Jews targeted for death in Muslim countries and help them escape

Provide for the needs of impoverished Jews, especially children and the elderly

Warn the leaders of the world that God’s curse will follow their actions to curse Israel

To do what needs to be done we must raise $1,000,000 in the next ten weeks. In the natural this is impossible, but if each Jerusalem Prayer Team member around the world will give in obedience to God’s command, I believe we can reach this goal and be a blessing to the Jewish people in the face of coming war.

When you send your gift of any amount, we will send you a copy of my book The Jerusalem Prophecies. The Holy City is the center of the enemy’s attack, and you need to know what God has to say about the future of Jerusalem—and those who bless and curse the Jewish people.

If you are able to send a gift of $150 or more, we will send you the book and this beautiful silver finish menorah. And if you are able to send a gift of $1,000 or more,
we will send the book, the menorah, and this handcrafted museum-quality large silver-trimmed shofar. Please be as generous as you can when you send your gift today.

Thank you for being part of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and supporting our work to stand in the gap for Israel at this critical and prophetic moment in history. God bless you for blessing His Chosen People according to the promise of Genesis 12:3 which He gave to Abraham.

Your ambassador to Jerusalem,

Dr. Michael Evans

From Christians United For Israel:

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
 Worship the LORD with gladness;
   come before him with joyful songs.
 Know that the LORD is God.
   It is he who made us, and we are his;
   we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
   and his courts with praise;
   give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
   his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100

During this season of Thanksgiving let us join King David in giving thanks to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for He is good and His mercies endure forever! Whether you are standing of the mountain top or walking through a deep valley, the Word of God teaches the believer to give thanks to the Lord in all things (Thessalonians 4:18).

We especially thank the Lord for all of you who have locked your arms and joined your voices with Christians United for Israel to stand and pray with Israel and the Jewish people now and forevermore.

May the Lord richly bless you with joy, peace and hope as you gather your family to celebrate God’s goodness,
