| House lawmakers are circulating a letter that calls on President Obama to designate the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) as supporters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The designation would allow the United States to impose sanctions on foreign firms that continue to do business with NIOC and NITC, Iran’s key entities for overseeing the development and shipment of oil. |
