PRAYERS AND DONATIONS FOR THIS YEAR

As a new year begins, Israel’s foes continue to work to undermine her sovereignty and right to exist. Though we may not wield political influence, we do have at our disposal a powerful weapon in this battle—prayer. Please join the Fellowship Prayer Team in heartfelt prayer to the Almighty for a New Year filled with peace and prosperity for Israel, the Jewish people, and the world.

• As Israel prepares for elections to take place January 22^nd, pray for her leaders. Ask God to give them guidance and direction in bringing security and protection to Israel’s people. “He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me… He delivered me because He delighted in me” (Psalms 18:17,19).
• Pray that throughout his second term, President Obama will stand firmly in support of Israel, and that the U.S. will not put undue pressure on Israel to make concessions that could compromise her security. “To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his” (Job 12:13).
• Pray for elderly Holocaust survivors in the former Soviet Union, who during this cold winter are struggling to live on meager pensions, and are unable to afford food, heating fuel, and medicines. “Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness!” (Isaiah 58:10).
• Pray for God's provision to help meet the increasing humanitarian needs in Israel and among Jewish people around the world. “In the day that I cried out, You answered me and made me bold with strength in my soul” (Psalm 138:3).
• Pray that in 2013 the Jewish and Christian communities will stand as one against all enemies of the State of Israel, and that they will continue to speak the truth on her behalf. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” (Psalm 133).
