Jerusalem Prayer Team:
Dear Friend, Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, Iran’s military chief of staff, addressed a defense conference in Tehran on Sunday. He said, “The Iranian nation is standing for its cause, and that is the full annihilation of Israel.” There is no possible way in which Iran could be clearer about its intentions. Iran’s leaders have repeatedly called for Israel to be “wiped off the map.” Now the man in charge of their military says that the utter destruction of Israel is the purpose and goal of his nation. I believe him! My friend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu believes him. I know you do as well, but the truth is that most people of the world are just turning their heads and looking away—just as they did during the Holocaust. We must not let the evil enemies of Israel succeed in their destructive goals. It is time for us to stand in the gap as never before for the deliverance of God’s Chosen People. The Jerusalem World Center, our new home in Jerusalem, is so important to Israel’s future right now because it will be the world prayer headquarters of a mighty prayer campaign for Israel—and I need your help today. God gave us great favor with the owners of the building to be able to receive a wonderful discount on the purchase price, but we must make a $3,000,000 payment by the end of July. I am thrilled and so grateful for the outpouring of love from so many Jerusalem Prayer Team members. It is clear to me that God is doing a great work, and I'm glad we get to be part of it, but we must reach this goal. A dear friend has stepped forward with a $250,000 matching gift challenge from now until the end of May. This will take us a long way toward making that first payment—and we must not fail to meet this urgent challenge. I’m asking you today to send a gift to help us see this great miracle…and build a lasting legacy of love and an enduring witness of salt and light to the people of Israel. So far 450 loving hearts have stepped forward and given $54,300 toward this urgent goal. The reason that we have taken such a huge step of faith is because the need to defend Israel is so urgent. I have no doubt that I have heard from God regarding the building for the Jerusalem World Center, and God has directed me to do more than just pray for a miracle so that we can raise the money to pay for the building. I have His firm Word in my spirit that I am to ask you today to believe with me in faith for this miracle. Today Israel is surrounded by enemies and besieged on every side, but together we can offer help and hope. While I was in Israel a few weeks ago, we signed the contract to purchase a five-story building within walking distance of the Temple Mount. This building will be the worldwide home of the Jerusalem Prayer Team and host the Christian Zionism Museum as a lasting witness to the Jewish people. In the Holy City, the Jerusalem World Center will stand as a witness to the love of believers for the Jewish people…a constant presence of salt and light. It will be the headquarters for our growing humanitarian outreaches to the poor of Israel, especially the elderly Holocaust survivors. Together we will share God’s love with His Chosen People like never before. There is no doubt in my mind that God is bringing this miracle to pass to meet the challenges and threats that Israel faces today. Israel today stands on the brink of all-out war—a war that will kill or injure thousands of precious Jewish men, women, and children. We must do all that we can to defend the Jewish state and God’s Chosen People. In addition, the Jerusalem Prayer Team is working to meet the needs of the poor and elderly in Israel. Your gift helps us provide warm clothes, food, and medicine for those in urgent need.
If you are able send a gift of $100 or more, we will send you this Pray for Jerusalem prayer shawl prepared especially for members of the Jerusalem Prayer Team. The Jerusalem World Center is an incredible, miraculous, prophetic answer to prayer. It is the greatest miracle of my life and yours. I truly believe that this is our Esther moment. I believe that THIS IS THE DAY God has been leading us toward and preparing us for over the last forty years. Today I’m asking you to stand up and be counted—to join the line of heroes down through the centuries who have done their part to deliver the Jewish people from destruction. I am asking you to make a generous, even sacrificial gift…which will be doubled through the matching gift challenge…to help make the Jerusalem World Center a reality and help the Jerusalem Prayer Team do all we can to defend the Jewish state and the Jewish people around the world. Barukh atah Adonai eloheinu melekh ha-olam, ozier Yisrael bigvurah. Blessed art thou, Lord our God, King of the universe, who girds Israel with might. United With Israel:
As you probably know, back in March nearly 300 missiles exploded within a few days in southern Israeli communities. Israeli citizens - men, women and children - continue to live in terrifying fear of more attacks...
United with Israel initiated an emergency campaign to build bomb shelters in southern Israel. Thanks to your support, on April 2, we delivered and installed 2 above-ground portable bomb shelters in 2 Israeli towns outside of Ashkelon. The people of Israel sincerely thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Right now, the need is very great. Nearly one million Israelis are within rocket range from Gaza. Children are living in fear. There are dozens more communities in southern that do not have adequate shelters. Many don't have any shelters.
Here are 2 ways that you can help:
1. You can make a donation directly to our Bomb Shelters Campaign by clicking below:
http://unitedwithisrael.org/build-shelters
2. You can purchase 'Rockets into Roses' items. These are unique, handcrafted art sculptures, jewelry and judaica made from the remains of actual rockets that landed in Israeli communities. Israel's way of turning terror into beauty. A portion of the proceeds are allocated to the Bomb Shelter Campaign.

Above-ground portable shelters need to be deployed in vulnerable Israeli communities. These shelters can be moved to where they are needed most. They will provide safety for Israeli citizens as they go about their daily lives.
The shelters are built to prevent the penetration of bullets, shrapnel and missile fragments and can withstand direct hits. While building underground shelters can take months, these prefab units take can be built, delivered and deployed in a matter of days..
Although these shelters cannot provide Israeli communities with peace, they provide both safety and peace of mind.

FrontPage Magazine:
Dear Friend of Israel & America:
Not a week passes without some new outrage against Israel at the United Nations. This organization, which began with a statement of the highest ideals, has become cesspool of anti-Americanism and Jew hatred.
For almost 40 years now, a majority of nations at the United Nations has not only condemned, harassed and isolated Israel; they have also tried to expel the Jewish State and even allowed bloody demagogues like Idi Amin to call into question Israel's very right to exist in despicable speeches before the General Assembly. Until the 1970s, the one nation that could be counted on to stand against such a venomous assault was the United States. But under Jimmy Carter, the U.S. joined the jackals and encouraged Israel's enemies at the UN and allowed the terrorist Yasser Arafat to posture there as a statesman.
Under Barack Obama we see the return of a cold and reluctant support of the Jewish State. This willingness to leave Israel twisting slowly in the wind is bound to increase in a second Obama term and we will look back in longing to the days when Ronald Reagan made it clear in no uncertain terms that America would always defend Israel at the UN and elsewhere on the battlefield of ideas. The Reagan administration said No in thunder to the murderous slanders against Israel launched at the United Nations by the Islamic Conference, the Soviet bloc and the third world "nonaligned" bloc. Why? For one reason: because our UN ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick had the courage of the President's convictions about the Jewish State.
My writing partner and Center colleague has just written an important book about Kirkpatrick, Ronald Reagan's closest ally in the belief that support of Israel a moral imperative in and of itself and also a key part of the effort to drive a stake through the heart of the Soviet Union. This book is called Political Woman: The Big Little Life of Jeane Kirkpatrick and it shows how Kirkpatrick saw job number one at the UN as reversing the unrelenting hatred of Israel at the world body throughout the 1970's and into the early 80's, a hatred she feared would justify "a new holocaust." When a call came to expel Israel from the U.N., it was Kirkpatrick who threatened to pull the U.S. and its financial support out of the organization. The Arabs and their Soviet patron backed down. In speech after speech, Kirkpatrick worked not only to remove the "kick-me" sign from the back of America at the UN the Carter administration had allowed our enemies to place there, but also to make it clear that we would not stand by while Israel, the only island of democracy in a sea of despotism in the Middle East, was attacked by the enemies of Jews and of freedom itself.
Peter was a personal friend of Kirkpatrick's. In Political Woman, he uses their intimate conversations and documentary material she gave him to construct a portrait of a strong and independent woman (disparaged by radical feminists like Gloria Steinem as "a female impersonator") from the heartland of America who devoted the first part of her life to the study of totalitarianism and the second part to making sure that it did not defeat America in the Cold War battle of ideas. She was a Democrat in the Scoop Jackson mold who left the party in 1972 when she was unable to prevent it from being hijacked by the McGovern radicals. She became a Republican and made sure that the Republicans under Reagan turned back the tide of totalitarianism then washing over the UN--beginning with a spirited defense of Israel.
If you care about Israel and are concerned about its treatment by the Obama administration, you should read this book. For your immediate tax deductible contribution of $50 or more, I'll rush you a copy of Political Woman, signed by Peter Collier. So please follow this link right away to make a contribution. For a contribution of $100 or more, I'll ask Peter to personalize the inscription.
Your support today is critical to promoting this important book, which helps further the Freedom Center's mission of exposing the truth about how the anti-American left has tried to promote the decline of the U.S. and the de-legitimization of Israel and been stopped only because of the courage of patriotic individuals like Jeane Kirkpatrick and Ronald Reagan. Please help us today by making the most generous tax deductible contribution you can afford and we'll rush you a copy of this groundbreaking new book. Thanks for all your support.
Sincerely,
David Horowitz
President & Founder
P.S. Peter Collier's new book Political Woman: The Big Little Life of Jeane Kirkpatrick is a vital guide to what America must do to survive and how critical it is for us to support Israel. For your immediate tax-deductible contribution of $50 or more, I'll rush you a copy of Political Woman signed by Peter. For your tax-deductible contribution of $100 or more, I'll Peter personalize the inscription. Please follow this link to contribute today. Thanks—David

With Hezbollah to the north, Hamas in the
south, and Syria and Iran to the east, Israel is surrounded by enemies
bent on her destruction.
Driven to spend heavily to defend
her borders from attack by these terrorists and terrorist-supporting
countries, Israel’s government can no longer afford to fulfill many
basic needs of her most vulnerable citizens.
That means impoverished Jewish families, the elderly – including
Holocaust survivors – and innocent children will be counting on The Fellowship to provide food, shelter, and medical assistance now more than ever.
During this dire time, friends of Israel like you and I must step in and care for the nation's poorest people – people like Zeena and Yosef.
This elderly couple survived the horrors of the Holocaust. Sadly, they now live in abject poverty – unable to afford life’s basic necessities on their meager government pension. Without the daily hot meal they receive at a Fellowship-funded soup kitchen in Jerusalem, Zeena and Yosef would surely go hungry.
My friend, we cannot allow the dear people of Israel to suffer. Please reach out today to help The Fellowship meet this urgent humanitarian need.
By joining us in providing aid that will truly make a difference in
the lives of poor people in the Holy Land, you will be showing your
strong support for Israel and the Jewish people. May God bless you,
even as you have blessed His children. |

Prayer:
This weekend, as Jews celebrate Shavuot, commemorating the day God gave the Torah to the Israelites on Mount Sinai, we remember God’s faithfulness to us through the ages. As we lift up our world in prayer, let us remember to give thanks to Him for the many blessings He has given us!
- As the U.S. observes Memorial Day next Monday, let us give thanks for the soldiers who gave their lives for the sake of peace and freedom. Pray that God blesses their families, and keeps their courageous sacrifice always in our hearts. “The memory of the righteous will be a blessing…” (Proverbs 10:7).
- The Festival of Shavuot, which begins Saturday at sundown, commemorates God’s faithfulness to the Israelites. Give thanks to God for the gift of the Bible, and rejoice in the blessings of His word! “These are the decrees, the laws and the regulations that the LORD established at Mount Sinai between himself and the Israelites through Moses” (Leviticus 26:46).
- Pray for wisdom for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his new coalition government. May the changes in Israel’s government bring her closer to her goal of living in peace and security. “Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?” (2 Chronicles 1:10).
- Ask that God will turn the hearts of those who show hateful bias against Israel and her people. “You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come” (Psalm 102:13).
- Pray for the protection of all IDF soldiers, and for the comfort of their family members who worry for their safety every day. “You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety” (Job 11:18).
- Please pray for the Fellowship-sponsored security programs that work to keep innocent Israelis safe. “‘Because he loves me,’ says the LORD, ‘I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name’” (Psalm 91:14).

Two
days ago Israel celebrated the reunification of Jerusalem. Marking 45
years since Israeli paratroopers reunited the city, Prime Minister
Netanyahu spoke from Ammunition Hill and declared that Jerusalem will
always remain the united capital of the Jewish people.
“We will preserve Jerusalem because an Israel without Jerusalem is like a body without a heart, “ the prime minister said. “It was on this hill, 45 years ago, that the heart that unites our people began to beat again with full strength; and our heart will never be divided again.”
We invite you to celebrate Jerusalem Day in Washington, D.C. this Wednesday, June 6th on Capitol Hill together with the Israel Allies Foundation and some of America’s most pro-Israel Congressmen.
